The connector will define proper polarity. What car/engine/OBD?

after lots of searching, the wires pair up on either connector the same

The top pin, the side where you push the release on the connector is the signal, bottom pin is power. This applies to both connectors

I just wanted to be sure since I didn't have a way to check for signal/power on an already connected older style iat sensor.
