When you listed your grounds, you didn't mention the valve cover ground. Make sure that one is hooked up.

Get ahold of a maintenance manual and follow the directions for testing the ICM wires. It will describe how to test all of the ignition circuits when the ICM isn't creating a spark.

me and you are having identical problems man. i'm trying to figure it out right now. i've been searching all around the internet all kinds of forums i cant come up with anything..

my thermostat housing ground is good, valve cover ground is good, i have an external coil and it's got no spark at all coming out of the distributor side of it. idk how to check the power going into it.. but my guess it the crank position sensor man i have a 95 h22a where the cps was in the distributor and an obd2 distributor where the cps was in the oil pump..

This only happen if the car wont turn over at all..your lights work, fuel pump will hummm and no turn over.. he's got some turn over.. so must be something wrong with ignition or electrical stuff(i have electrical stuff.)

blake post ur solution next time...

SOLUTION: New distributor fixed the problem. The components we initially tried must have been faulty also.

we changed the icm, the coils, the cap the rotor, the main relay, all fuses, and checked all grounds so last thing to try was a diff. distributor

focus on one thing and go down the list and null out all other possibilities and you will eventually find whats wrong

I have similar issues. My del sol stalled on me and it won't crank at all. I've been looking at the fuses in case its as simple as that. But is there any suggestions on what else could be the issue. I was driving the car for 3 days no issue, but then when making a k-turn it stalled out on me and wouldn't crank at all. All the lights turn on the inside, the battery is brand new, literally 3 days old. Body has 221,000 miles motor has 165,00 approx. the other parts on the car the previous owner didn't provide me with that information
