Default del sol vs civic stock downpipe?

Are the d16z6 stock downpipes different on del sols and 92-95 civic exs? I bought one off ebay and the downpipe sat on the ground because it was so low (the downpipe ) so I sent it back and I want to buy one specifically for the del sol but I wanted to be sure first.

So basically same design which I see, but the del sol downpipe is in fact shorter correct?
I just want to make sure the ebay header is not the problem before I spend another 40$

So why wen I installed the downpipe, the downpipe sat like 6 inches below my oil pan no joke? The one before wasn't like that, but it was smashed and had holes in it so I trashed it. Now im confused.. idc about the catback, just the downpipe after the header before the cat.. it was wayy too long height and width wise

Same part number for the 92-95 2/3/4 door, as well as the 93-97 Del Sol. If you bought it off eBay, it wouldn't surprise me if they just sent you the wrong part.

Actually the 96-97 Del Sol with the Y8 engine had a different downpipe, 18210-SR2-A42 (ignore the O2 in the down pipe it is still retained in the exhaust manifold). I'm not sure if thats the one you received but it is different.

92-95

96-97

HondaPartsHero, I found that information by finding the parts on Majestic, then cross referencing both part numbers through other parts catalogs. I might be wrong, just going off what I could find online.

why did you buy an ebay exhaust manifold that still requires a down pipe?

The one in the bottom pic to the far left looks like the one I got.. the one up top with two pipes is wat I need.. it looks shorter the mounting bolts on the end by the where the cat goes didnt even line up

It wasn't an ebay one.. it was the actual stock one that comes from the civic ex 92-95..

I know I was just clarifying that the 96-97 del sol si had a different downpipe in case that was the one he was sent. I also pulled the parts info and diagrams from Majestic as well.

Yea he's right it is the z6.. but I guess I was sent y8 one then.. or the civic and del sol with the the z6 just have different downpipes. I think I have my answer though. Thanks.

So, they both are actually the same.. del sol and civic downpipes are exactly alike and fitment was still wrong.. problem happened to be the actual header.. its and air mass which is aftermarket that throws everything off. Stock downpipe doesn't fit with aftermarket header
