del sol third brake light quick question

trying to remove to paint. could use a little help, i got the acutal light out but i cant seem to get the clips off... does anyone know how without busting the clips?

Remove the internal roof panel and squeeze the white clips to release.

Should be just behind the tilter unit, if it is the TT model.
