Default del sol swap

First, what is the chassy code for my 96 del sol (im retarded) is it EH or EG or what?

Second, i am buying a 1st gen JDM b16a engine with no ecu or wireharness. What ecu should i buy, is the 1st gen OBD1 or 0. Im a noob at ecu's, also should i get a used or new wireharness, does it matter? Will i need new shift linkage when i pt it in my sol?

The code is = ekeg465. [/end sarcasm] ....... New shiftlinkage ? does the swap not come with it or are you asking do you need to custom the shiftlinkage? you makes lots of sense

You can run a P30 or chipped P28.

You need a shift linkage out of a Del Sol Vtec (B16a3 del sol)

The easiest way to tell if a motor is OBD0 is too look at the thermo housing and see if it has a coolant temp sensor on it if it dosn't it is on the back of the block and it is a OBD0 motor.

also be sure that your NOT getting a cable tranny with that since your current setup is Hydro. You'll have to pay extra for a conversion kit to make hydro -> cable

also get odb1 since you'll get the right ECU/DIzzy/injectors/mostly the right mounts for the swap
