Del Sol specs???
My g/f has a 96 Del Sol Si. I was just wondering what the specs are on these? I know that it has the y8 instead of the z6...how much hp and torque does the y8 have? How much does it weigh...im sure its a good bit b/c of the extra bracing for the targa top. And i know this sounds like a newbe question but what will it run stock? Are there any little secrets to save weight and/or increase hp? It has an intake and an exhaust....what would be the next logical step? Keep in mind that this is a girls car and she just wants it a little quicker...not CRAZY fast. Thanks alot guys.

Next logical step if you want to keep the engine is to decide if you want to stay N/A or go Boosted.
127 hp/ 115 ft-lbs. Stock.....at the fly not at the wheels.

Shes gonna keep the engine for now and shes staying N/A. D@mn...they have more torque than a b16...lol. So what should her next performance mod be? Were about to drop it in a few weeks. Thanks man.

I was thinking about buying her some cheap headers...what would be some good ones that arent too expensive. I heard that Chikara actually made good ones for the price. Anyway...i really want to know how much they weigh!!! Thats one of the main reasons for this post. Thanks guys.

Hey whats up! Hope your girlfriend is enjoying her car because I personally think they are fun little cars! Great for summer
Just to correct though, torque firgures on the Si (D16 motors) is rated at 106 lb. ft.
The specs on the B16 (VTEC) model is rated at 111 lb. ft. Not much of a difference but that is accurate.
Weight: Lets see my '94 VTEC (B16) model weighed in at 2491 lbs. So the Si model is about ~80 to 100 lbs. less I would say.
And as far as what to do: Speaking from experience and a few Honda projects myself, if you are going to keep the SOHC, then don't waste money and just go ahead and boost it! Just my opinion though. All about personal goals. If she just wants a fun street car, then put some bolt-ons on it.

Re: Del Sol specs??? (DevilSolSi)
hasn't the weight issue on del Sol's been beaten to hell in this forum??
del Sol's are great, I have one as my beater. I agree 100% to whoever said lower it, it was the first thing I did to mine.
