Default Del Sol shifting question

My car is hard to get into gear and sometimes won't go in at all while the car is running. If I shut the car off it will go into gear. I've gotten different opinions from people. 1. my tranny is bad. 2. My throwout bearing is bad. 3. My clutch is bad. 4. Shift linkage is bad. anyone else have this problem and if so what was wrong?

It's a clutch release issue. It's one of the following:

-Bad clutch master cylinder
-Bad clutch slave cylinder
-Bad throwout bearing
-Clutch disc spit a spring
-Pressure plate is messed up

Start with the first two since they're more probable and a lot easier and cheaper to fix.

Does it grind when you shift when car is running?
