Del Sol shift linkage B20B4 block with A1 transmission
I just picked up a 95 Del Sol S with a B20B4 block, P75-1 head, and A1 transmission. It runs and moves but one of the shift linkage rods (connecting rod) is not hooked up. Looks like the rod has been modified to fit but I don't see a place to connect. The bracket on the end of the rod (see picture) doesn't match Del Sol b-series shift linkage diagrams and doesn't fit anywhere that I can tell. It almost looks like the kid cut something off of the transmission.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

That is some janky-azz ghetto fabulous hack work you have there !!! You have modified SOHC shift linkage from a non Del Sol application bolted to an original "D" series alternator bracket that appears to be being used to connect to a "B" series transmission. The PROPER fix is to purchase a pair of Del Sol DOHC VTEC shift rods and bolt them up... you will be much happier I promise.

replace that nut and bolt with a "BITCH PIN". It's only a few bucks and it will eliminate the shifter sloppiness when in gear.

Re: Del Sol shift linkage B20B4 block with A1 transmission
I have the Del Sol VTEC linkage and a new bitch pin but what the kid did to the car just confused the heck out of me. Bought the car for the motor and part out, just have to get it 1,200 miles to home!
Wish me luck!
