Hey guys. I probably have the opportunity to swap my EK front seats with my friend's del sol. I know I can put the del sol seats (with no modification?) into my EK, but I want to know if I can put the EK seats back into the del sol? I may be able to do this for free, so any help would be appreciated!

no, you will have to swap over the brackets and rails.

switch the EK brackets and rails with the sol's, and vice versa.

btw, use the <FONT COLOR="red"><u>Search</u></FONT> function before you post/ask a question.

DIY/How to: Del Sol Seats into an EK

I know how to use the Search function, and I was rather aware that the Sol seats will bolt up (with brackets and sliders of course) into my car. I wasn't sure if my EK seats would go into a sol, and I couldn't find that via search.

That's great, but I need to know about EK seats going INTO a del sol.

Pretty simple really, I figured since they bolted up pretty easily that they would infact go in. I was worried about them being too tall or too wide to fit, that's all.

And he hasn't IMed me yet.

damn you could've said this the first time. go read your first post and see what you typed, because it makes no sense with what you were trying to find out lol.

too tall for the car? doubt it. too tall for the person that sits in it? it's gonna feel weird, but shouldn't be a problem. well, unless you're like a 6'5"+ person, then you'll be pretty acquainted with that targa top . as for being too wide, might be a little, but not much. should be an easy installation.

Haha, ok, sorry, I guess I was slightly unclear.

Basically the story is my friend is selling his sol so I'm swapping my seats with his for nothing before he sells it. Thanks for your help though, was much appreciated.

all you have to do it switch the mounting brackets from both seat there 4 bolts a side an the change without a problem did the same with my ek

well to put the del sol seats into the ek you have to swap one of the rails. It has been so long since I have done it but I belive it was the inside rail. I will look when I get off work and repost for you.

But you have to change one rail to make it work in the EK. The EG chasis it bolts right in with no modifiaction.

I would imagine that to put the EK seats into the del sol would be the same process, but the seats in a del sol are considerably smaller than the EK so it might not work.

I will let you know more when i get home to look!
