my rear bumper on my 93 del sol got smashed in. I had a hella of a time taking off the bumper at the junk yard and had to damage the piece where the licence plate goes. Does anyone know how to take the licence plate part off the car or is there a way that i can take the rear bumper off without touching that piece?

I just recently removed mine, so that i can swap that panel with a JDM one w/ aux fog light. On the USDM models they're 2 hex nuts (10mm or 12mm) on each side and 2 round looking nuts in the middle plate area. Those round nuts are the tricky ones, you're gonna gonna need some vice grips to turn those bad boys... They are threaded and so they will remove just like a regular nut, just make sure that the vice grip is tight. I ended up replacing those round nuts with (10mm or 12mm) hex nuts.
