Default DEL SOL plug and play HID fog lights?

Lately I've thought about doing a high intensity discharge setup in my fog lights. the tutorial I found uses Hella 2500. The only problem is they require grinding to clear the bracket and the housing due to their oblong shape.

Are there any other solutions that do not consist of grinding or cutting parts?

Are you talking about the auxiliary lights that are mounted between the headlights?

Again, are you referring to the stock auxiliary lights? If so, installing any sort of HID "kit" into those housings is a bad idea.

Yes. the auxiliary lights. I take it the housing will not withstand the high temp?

The temperature isn't the main issue. Those housings are intended to control and distribute the light generated by a 25 watt bulb generating a bit less than 600 lumens. Putting an HID capsule that generates over 3000 lumens into that housing will completely overpower the optics, and the results will be an immense amount of glare and an awful beam pattern.
