del sol owners....what spring rates are perfect for the street???
i would really like to know what del sol owners(preferably with b16's) are running for comfort/performance on the streets? nothing too bouncy, and nothing too floaty and nothin too stiff, i need some opinions. ive driven on 350/275, it was ok, and ive driven stock, and ive driven 700/900(too stiff). any opinions or feedback on your own spring rates??

are you looking to do any racing or auto cross with this car? If not, I would suggest getting the Progess suspension Springs with Tokico Illuminas. I have drove an Integra in this setup and it was perfect for Michigan's shitty roads.

If you are running on the streets then buy an Eibach Pro Kit and KYB AGX's and call it a day. Why need anything else? If you wanna do custom rates a little more detail would help. I mean most of your OTS struts (AGX's, Yellow's, 'stiens, Illumina's etc...) are only going to be good for around a 400lb or so spring. They can always be revalved.
Or if you are talking about running true coilovers they can take some pretty healthy rates. What are you looking for?

i really do prefer the illuminas, with 350/275 rates, its pretty good in the handling department. basically you answered my question with saying that 400's are pushing the limits of these off the shelf shocks, i didnt know that! what would be the next step in shocks with rates over 400??

i htought that the koni's will handle up to 500. its just that it has to sit on its hgihest/stiffest setting and anythign after that will feel underdampened.
the next step with koni yellows anyways is getting them revalved. so they feel stiffer at higher rates.
