I have vastly searched the archived material, and have only found such items as what linkages to use in a swap, etc.


I however, need to know how to remove OEM shift linkages from a 1993 Del Sol.

I need to know how to remove the shaft(s) from the transmission, as I am going to use the ones already on the car (D - D swap). I have heard of a "bitch" pin, but I cannot find it, and I can;t seem to get the one (U bolt style), away from the tranny.

If anyone could provide a detailed explanation, or photos even, or point me in a direction that this has been covered, I would greatly appreciate it.

NVM, found all the threads labelled "bitch pin". Funny when tranny linkages, or shift linkages in yped, nothing came up lol.

take a small flat head screwdriver and pry the clip from around the shaft then take a punch the size of a pencil and knock the pin out by hitting it with a hammer allthis is under the rubber boot conming from the trans good luck

haha, funny thing, while i was putting a Sol back together the other day somebody must of lost that pin because there was a bolt and nut sticking through there instead. talk about ghetto-rigged
