DEL SOL H22 SWAP, SHIFTER PROBLEMS!
So my friend got the h22 into the del sol, and everything is in..
then finds out the shifter won't shift...
he says the only think he can think of... is that the hole from the firewall into the engine compartment isn't giving enough clearance.
the del sol and eg are a little different when it comes to getting the shifter linkage... any ideas from people who have done the swap or familiar with it?

unfortunately the car isn't at my place right now
just trying to help my friend to find out whats going on.. its not the transmission problem becuase he showed me that he could push the gears in.. but the shifter can't seem to make the cables move the gears

okay here is the updated info... he said the cables are too long... like he would have to push the shifter back.. but then that would be where the e brake is..
checked the cables.. even spent 100$ on a whole new shifter linkage.. and thats not the problem.
if any of you guys ever did a h22 swap on a del sol.. where did you guys run the shifter linkage cable?

did he get the cables form the shifter he got you can use accord cables with prelude shifter. also the cables could be binding they way he ran them

how do you suggest we run the cables? we are currently runing the cables through a hole below the stereo under where the air boxes are.

thats where i run them through too. its right under where the airbag ecu is. you have to remove the heatshield a drill from underneath. can he get into any gears?
