Default Del Sol front lips.

I have searched and I have failed. Would the great almighty senior H-Ter's please help me find a lip for my friends del sol. Doesn't the 92-95 OEM lip fit? If so, would you guys be so kind as to post the pictures for me? Thanks in advance.

Sincerely
Noob

This is something that is very easy to do, but I found it much easier with the bumper removed. You can either paint it or leave it black. Personally I think it looks better black and it is how I have left mine. Hope this helps you.

The following was taken fromhttp://www.teamdelsol.com

Add a Civic Lip front spoiler

By: Slater

Material you will need:

Screwdriver
Civic Lip P/N 71110-SR3-000

The Civic and the delSol are very similar. Many parts are interchangeable because they were based on the same chassis. One of these parts is the front lip spoiler found on 1992 – 1995 Civic EX Coupes.

The lip spoiler looks very cool on the Sol. It’s OEM Honda, so you know the quality and fit is top-notch. It’s also made of polyurethane, so it’s tough and durable. You can leave it unpainted or even paint it to match your Sol’s color. Any way you look at it, the lip spoiler adds an inexpensive and nice touch.

The part can be ordered at any Honda dealership. The part number is 71110-SR3-000, and it lists for $70. I would HIGHLY recommend getting it at Hondaparts (www.hparts.com). I paid $50 for mine because Hondaparts sells Honda parts for DEEP discounts.

The spoiler is easy to install. Purchase some screws at a hardware store. I bought screws with a built in washer. They should be about 1.5" long. Stainless steel is preferred so they don’t rust, but mine had some sort of black plating on them. You should be able to find them no problem. I have even seen these black screws at Auto Parts stores – they are called "body screws".

Now, onto the install…

The lip spoiler can easily be installed with the bumper still attached to the car. It will be easier if you jack up the front of the car (make sure to use jack stands to protect yourself). It will also be easier if you have a helper – one person to hold the spoiler and the other to screw it on.

If you look at the bottom of your bumper, you will see a "line" where the factory paint stops and the raw plastic portion of the bottom of the bumper starts. This line goes all the way from one side of the car to the other. THIS is where you are going to install the lip spoiler. Align the spoiler so that the TOP edge of the spoiler is exactly on that "paint line". Make sure the lip is centered, and begin screwing the lip spoiler on from the BOTTOM. You will see "holes" where the screws should be placed. (There are holes in the lip spoiler and the stock bumper – ignore the holes in the bumper). Put a screw in each of the lip spoiler holes, as well as 2 on each side in the wheelwell at the top of the lip spoiler.

That’s all there is to it! Enjoy!
