Default del sol front bumper

I have a 96 del sol bumper on my del sol si. I have done several searchs to find somewhere that I can find the lights that go at the bottom of the bumper. This is the USDM 96-97 bumper (auxilary light location is under the headlights) NOT the 93-95 del sol bumper(auxilary light location is to the left and right of headlights). I am curious to know if they are still available through the dealership or mayb if something custom was created. What would inserts need to be made out of if something was custom fabbed. I have also looked for pics where someone might have dremmeled out the holes that were used for the original mounting brackets and have been unable to locate those pictures. Thanks any information would be helpful.

If I'm not mistaken, what you're referring to are the JDM fog lights, which are quite rare and now relatively expensive if you are able to locate a set.

no the jdm lights come on the del sol jdm front bumper. This is the 96-97 USDM del sol front bumper. It DOES NOT have the auxilary lights to the left and right of the headlights. Its straight across between the space between the headlights. The JDM lights are on the JDM bumper that have lights between the headlights as well for a total of 6 lights.

So these are not the lights you're referring to?

Do you have a photo of what you're asking about?

Oh, and I know what the stock USDM Del Sol bumpers (both types) look like, but I'm curious if you have a photo of the lights you're asking about.

well the problem is ive never even seen the lights before. The spaces for the lights have 3 holes for mounting a bracket there but I dont know where to get the bracket or whatever the insert is to put lights in there? The lights from my 94 front bumper wont fit will they? Is the 96 front bumper even suppose to have lights down at the bottom there? I've never seen it before. Ive looked on solsociety to and didnt see any pics there either....

I did some searching around, and it doesn't seem like many people have. In fact, there even seems to be some disagreement about whether or not they even exist. Either way, even if they do/did exist, it's pretty safe to say that you'll have an extremely difficult time sourcing a set.

If I took my car to a custom shop to have something fab'd to fill the space and put a light in each space what would be a good material.... A place near me does fiberglass but should i stay away from that ive heard it tends to crack often...

That's something that would probably be best to discuss with the particular shop, since they'd be performing the work and would be able to tell you what they're most comfortable with and what would provide the best results. Personally though, I would simply select a quality set of after-market fog lamps and install them in the lower grill opening. If you select a shape that compliments the style of the front end, and install them well, the end result should be quite good.

I have a 96 Sol VTEC... it is to my knowledge that there aren't any lights for the front of the car... I have searched and searched and found nothing that fits the front where fog lights should be. Good luck trying to find someone to get them to work for you. I'd like to see how they turn out. Hell if they look good I might even be interested!

Those ones above are about the closest yet! But they don't look OEM.

try getting some 96-98 civic fogs. the dealers still sell the round ones. that would be your best bet in my opinion.

#4 is not the light. only the cover/trim. otherwise a 9 dollar foglight from honda would be pretty sweet.

edit:http://www.hondaautomotivepart....html

those ^ are the round 96-98 fogs i am refering too, just for a reference
