Del Sol Engine tapping

Del Sol Engine tapping
I have a 1995 Honda Civic Del Sol, 4 cyl., 1.5L. It has about 159,000 miles on it. It has been keep up on oil changes every 3000 miles and tune-ups. My current concern is when I start the car it kind of taps. It's very loud after a cold start, but does go away after I warm the car up for about 10 minutes. This has been going on for quite a while, at least a year. It hasn't gotten louder or worse, it's the same everyday. It's doesn't seem as loud in the summertime, but it still does it until it's warmed up. It doesn't run funny or anything, it just makes that loud tap until it warms up. Any ideas? Have you run across this on other Hondas? I'd like to get rid of that sound if I could. If you don't warm it up long enough and drive down the road, it sounds like a loud sewing machine going down the road until it warms up. Thank you for your time and help.

Re: Del Sol Engine tapping (IHateJDM)
you might of spun a bearing. I had to replace my motor with the same problem. I was soo loud that i you can hear from inside a house. And about 1 block away when Im driving...Try checking it out at the dealer. Or have some1 run a computer through ur ECU! Good Luck.
