Del Sol, Dies, need help.
Hi-
I'm have a problem with my '93 Del Sol. I can be driving on the interstate at say 3k RPM.Cruising along without any problems, all of the sudden the tach will start jumping to 3500 -4500 RPM, car still running fine, then it will start dropping anywhere from 0 RPM (car actually cuts off) but will pick back up, but if fluctuates form 1000 - 3000 RPM, and the car is surging along. Eventually it will die on side of the road. I know the main relay is good, I just put a new one on it. Any one had this problem or something similar?

Yea, it will after I let it sit a few minutes. Sometimes it will crank and run a few seconds and go dead again. Actually and honestly i put a main relay off my Civic on it, (Ordered a new one today). It just started doing this last night, when I turned the heater on. I had the top off and heater on (Lol)..
I cleaned all the connections under the hood, and reattached also cleaned the ones under the distributor cap. Was your car doing the same thing? (Tach jumping up and then going down?)
