Del Sol Dash Removal random wire ID help?
Hey HT,
Got my dash 90% removed.
- 6x 10mm bolts
- cluster
- heater cable
etc
I see that a single black wire that's coming from the main wire loom behind the gauge cluster is connected somewhere I can't see.
I'm in Raleigh and it's a 102 out today, so I didn't want to spend a lot of time searching.
The bottom arrow points to the steering column.
Thanks all!

Can you even see where it's coming from, or goes to?
On the HU are you runing the ground threw the cars harness or do you have a seperate ground wire?
I've seen people run ground wires all over the place.
if you can't see where it goes to, cut it. Cap it. and when everything goes back togher if something doesn't work hook it back up.
Make sure to unhook the battery first.

Found the end and got the dash out finally.
I removed the knee plate or whatever that big metal plate thing is that I guess protects the wiring under the dash.
If you look under the right side of the steering wheel, it's way up there, pull straight down and pops off.
Thanks all!
Here's a image for reference.

Here is a shot of where it is with the dash off.
Pretty much behind where the cluster would be.
I had the put my head on the floor, near the pedals looking upward, then jiggled the wire to see where it was connected.
No clips or anything, just pull down firmly and should pop right off.
