i bought a del sol for $1000 with a knocking motor. so took the engine apart and took the crank to get ground. the machine shop ground it 10 over .10 and so i bought a total engine rebuild engine from ebay. jis parts. new bearings mains and rod. this was my first time rebuilding a engine. new oil pump. i put her together today and she started no kncok. but now the oil pressor switch comes on. and i dont remeber if it turned on before when it was knocking. could i have done something wrong. i was researching the net and ppl said use plastigage could my clearences be too tight? could the switch be bad. i think earlier when i steped on the gas the light would flicker on and off. What could it be, i wouldnt want to have 400 dollars in parts and labor go to wast and have the whole dam thing blow.
