Default Del Sol Conversion... NEED HELP!

I have looked all over, am struggling to find help and you guys know your stuff!

I am from the UK with a Del Sol, but the front end is a bit wonkey after a front ender vender bender... so I need to put a new one on, but someone suggested putting a Civic front end on there!

I seen a few pics of the Sol with a 96-00 civic front end on there, I've had a word with another Sol owner and they said all you need to do is:

1. Put on a Civic front panel (straight bolt on)
2. Put on a Civic bonnet (straight bolt on)
3. Cut sol wings and civic wings in half, weld the rear of sol wings to front of civic wings and bolt on
4. Bolt on Civic Lights
5. Bolt on Civic Bumper

So all sounds simple, but seems too simple!

Is this right, or is there more to it?

Could someone clarify this for me or give me correct details of the procedure... any help would be much appreciated!

IMHO, all the Del Sols I've seen with 96-00 Civic front ends look like ***. The 92-95 Civic front end looks much cleaner. Cleanest of all is the 96-97 Del Sol front end IMHO.

AFAIK in either instance you need to modify the radiator support mounts. That would seem to entail more than just changing body panels around. I don't know exactly what is involved since this procedure extends too far into the frou-frou ascetic realm for my tastes.

Hell, this weekend I just picked up a wire brush this weekend for prepping the couple rust spots that popped up this past winter...

Yeah, I always used to love the 92-95 hatch and wanted one for ages, but got a sol instead, once I seen the 92-95 on a sol I thought it was awesome and wanted it, but then I was shown a 96-00 on the sol and fell in love, i've decided that's the one I want, just wondered is my step by step was near correct,

does anyone know?
