i don't know how similar the climate control is to an EK civic, but i recently did it and this what i needed to disconnect:
after any screws: (there was more than 1)
1. two plugs going into the back of the unit. I just had to reach my hand up under the dash and look for the tab on the plug to push down, then slide the plug out
2. the temp adjustment cable thing. this is the cable that connects to the slider that adjusts the temp. I tried to disconnect this from the back of the unit and it wouldn't work. I ended up having to follow the cable back to the firewall (up to the firewall i mean) and disconnect it from where it was connected to something up there. it was like the wire made a circle on the end of the wire. this circle looped over this metal lever. i just had to slide it off of the lever.
After those threet things were disconnected it came right out.
Hope this helps
