Default Del Sol blowing Radio fuse Can't find short

Hello,
I'm a noob so please be kind

I have a 1993 Del Sol Si 5 speed. I bought the car and have been working on it the past several months. The original Honda radio was installed but wired in very weird. The radio/cigarette fuse has been blown since I've owned the car. It blows the second you turn the key on. I assumed the stereo wiring had a short in it so i ordered and installed the whole new harness that runs everything on the dash and the radio. It did not fix the problem. It blows without the harness even plugged in. So i assume i have a short somewhere before it gets to the fuse box. How do I got about finding it??? Everything works on the car electronically except the radio and cigarrett lighter. I don't know how to find a wire that is bad unless its obviously cut or something. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

I would just hard wire the radio and remote wire. Just run power to the battery or constant 12v source, and run remote to a fuse that turns on and off with the car. Easy to do.

OK. I'm up for that. So i would just need a toggle switch and which wires would i run to which other fuse?

You don't need a toggle switch. Just run the power wire (yellow) to the battery, and the accessory (red) to a fuse that doesn't have power when the car is off. Just use a multimiter to see what that would be

Seeing that stereo light up was a beautiful sight. Thanks for your help!
