del sol auto to manual swap (not in faq or other threads)
hey guys, I have a question about the auto to manual swap I am doing. I got all the parts pretty much except for the top tranny mount. I heard that the bracket on the chassis is different between the auto chassis and the manual chassis. I was just wondering, what is the difference between the 2 chassis? how different is the bracket?
I know hasport makes the conversion mount but I dont really wanna spenda few hundred bux on just that mount. Is there any other way of putting that top mount in that u guys know of?
thanks in advance
Carlos

Unless you are an engineer/master fabricator, you will have to purchase the Auto>Manual conversion mount, there is no OE mount that will do the job. Innovative Mounts makes a cheaper version of what Hasport has to offer. A good friend of mine just did a Atuo>Manual swap with this mount and it fits perfectly. They offer the mount in billet aluminium and steel (cheaper).

Yep, I think my friend paid $110 for the billet mount IIRC.
EDIT: I was wrong, Its $150 for billet and $130 for steel.
