Start by ripping your interior out

I've actually done it for a track run, just the bumper tho. Took the head light out to get a better time, didn't feel like putting the bumper back on, gained 4/10.

expletive the engine! Rip that out, that's like 150+lbs!

Also this might be a bit technical, but wheels are just rotating mass, so those should go too.

The interior is really all you can do.

How much do the stock hood and trunk weigh?

yeah dude sorry nothing to do. the only thing i could tell you is to take the sound padding out from under the carpet and get carb hood, roof, and trunk. there you go maybe 120 pounds.. maybe! good luck

all i can say to help you out is get a carbon fiber hood, get the jdm headlights...i know in an eg civic the usdm ones are glass and the jdm ones are plastic so they are lighter, not sure about a sol though, pull out a/c, and p/s, sound deadener under the carpet can go, passenger seat can go, stereo/speakers can go, heater core can go...thats still only like 100-150 lbs though, thats 1/10th -1.5/10th of a second gone...all that **** to have an uncomfortable *** car isnt worth less then .2 of a second on a street car...just my opinion though
