Defective Clutch?
Ok before anyone flames, I searched but my computer was once again.. stupid, and just sits and loads.. and loads... and loads. Wont complete a search.
Anyway, I have a 92 Si, and about 3 months ago my buddy and I put a clutch in it, just a no name **** one from Advanced Auto.
The other day I was having problems with the clutch engaging / disengauging. At first I thought maybe it was air because I had replaced the slave cyclinder. But I bleed it numerous times.. correctly.
So I finally dug into it, took the tranny off. When I did a quarter sized piece of clutch fell to the floor. This was my first clue.
I didnt have a 12 point 10mm so I couldnt remove the pressure plate, but from what I could see, about half of the clutch pretty much exploded. Ill have some more info / pics tomorrow or the day after.
When I bought the clutch it came with a 3 year warrntee. With it only being about 3 months from the install, makes me wonder. Did I just get a poor clutch? A defective one?
Any Imput Would Be Awesome
TIA!

Re: Defective Clutch? (stock_honda_coupe)
Just go on ebay, get a exedy street disc, like 80 bucks.... save yourself any future headaches. I bought my car from a friend, they had a napa clutch in it, sucked, never had a clutch chatter soooo much in my life. Slipped so easy, got the exedy in there, no more chatter, no more slip. Oh, and this is in my daily driver four door, so no it wasn't abused, the NAPA that is

Happened to me, but I was pushing a stock clutch w/ a 50 shot of nitrous. Knew it was pushing it, it blew up on me. No friction material left on the disc.
