Default decisions....boost a d or n/a at b series

hey guys..so im picking up a 94 hatch cx (because i always wanted a hatch)with a d15b8 ...and i have a b18c1 with a b16 tranny in a em1..i want the em1 i have right now to be reliable..either i cant leave it the way it is and boost the d.or i can use the hatch as a daily and all motor the b18c1..i dunno what to do also im not really looking to boost the b series cuz i dont wanna blow a 4k motor

To start, every boosted motor does not blow. Do some research before you do anything.

A budget boost-built d will likely walk all over your "all motor" B for less money. With that said, I wouldn't bother with D15B8 motor. Look for a D16Z6 or D16Y8 to start.

DD the EM1 and boost the d for fun. When you and if you blow it up sway a b in it. Not to start a big war but I'm not a huge d sereis fan. Just my $.2 With that said if your gonna boost the d, do it right.

yeah what he said, that 8 valve engine isnt worth pooop. even those ive seen one boosted on youtube running 12s or 13s somthing like that..shti crazy...lol

hey ok i have a hatch and a integra. my hatch is boosted d16z6 vtec its quick my teg has b18c1 vtec i/h/e my teg will beat my civic any day so what im telling you put the b18c1 into your hatch and you will be quick right there then later boost it or go N/A i would have loved to throw my gsr motor in my hatch now that would be fastttttt just N/A wud be quick so throw gsr in hatch

o and i had a friend with a hatch full inteiror run a 13 flat with a stock type r motor so 13's are possible my friend even with a built gsr see it all the time

leave your dd alone and build the cx to be fast i don't care if you like n/a or boost everyone can agree d series are cheap as in cost and if you boost it just put money in head and the turbo stuff you can get out back out of it.

thicker head gasket
bigger injectors
good tune
good turbo kit
and should equal high 12s or low 13s on drags
