Decent lug nuts?
I don't know what lug nuts I have now but they are seized and I've broken 3 keys trying to get them off (using socket wrench not impact). After I get them off I want to replace them. What lugs are decent. I want at least one to be a locking but don't want an obnoxiously long key. BTW 17" Konig Traffik's not OEM rim.

I really like the sound of these (7 sided lug). What's the key like? Do you need a socket or just the wrench?

if the lugs are that hard to remove, i think u'll be breaking a few studs. Inspect the threads after you take the lugs off, they may be damaged. If you put anti seize on there, you will not run into this problem again.

I know this but I don't want to deal with the long keys because I don't have an impact gun.

they're only supposed to be torqued to 80 ft/lbs. I never had a problem with them.

I never had a problem with my Kyokugen's either, though I always torqued them properly and used anti-sieze. There were some early reports of stripped keys, but from what I recall, the newer sets included an improved key that was supposed to be more durable.

That's what happens when you overtorque them. I've never had a problem with mine.

that shop is stupid. The key is not made to be used with an impact. Its too thin, plus it says not to use the key with an impact on the package, but u didn't have that.
That sucks.

Re: (DeadEnd9009)
bro, any 12x1.5 nut would work. i like the look of a "tuner" nut, open ended, acorn... all of these are CHEAP about twelve bucks in my neck of the woods. don't spend $100 on a set that locks.
