Re: (jg-hatch)
I would also be really interested in what caused this. Over rev, needed adjustment, faluty install of new parts, were you NA or running boost ect. Let us know becuase that is some carnage there.

Re: The Death of a B18C **PICS** (BrokeAssWhiteboy)
this photo was snapped one turn before the engine let loose,
the car was n/a jdm type r pistons, .25 over, jdm itr intake cam, motor was rebuilt in november the head was all stock with well over 250,000 miles on it
. the damage happened on a 2-3 shift i didn't over rev it, the car has hondata with the full throttle shift feature,
it went into third and pulled for a second then let loose
the plan for now is to boost the gsr engine i have had sitting on a pallet for the last couple of weeks,
and plan to be back out for the next high speed touring event in may

i think the oil in his coolant is meerly from when he removed his head- it dosnt look mixed with the coolant - surely isnt detonation - the neighboring piston does look chared a little bit but i bet this one would be the same if the valve didnt make contacts and put a whole in the piston- remove the piston check the cylinder walls how scared they are- see if the rod is bent - if the rod is fine just buy some new pistons- if the rod is bent - upgrade all new rod & pistons - all depending on budget- but more info - i like seeing what the cause for painful looking engine damage- always think it could have been worse and kicked a hole in your block!
