Default dealer oil pan gasket vs. autozone/kragen oil pan gasket

can i know the advantages and disadvantages please. i need a new one for my d16. I used a autozone one prior about 2 years ago and its starting to leak. yes i did use silocon to help seal it. I need a new one. and money is not really an issue. but wanted to see if its the same or not. I get employee discount at dealer anyways (even though i dont work there lol) thanks in advance

use a higher quality A/M gasket like cometic or felpro and easy on that sealent. u only use it around the main seal are thats it. but if the price for an oem one is in the budget then suree go oem. thats what i recommend

Material is different. Go with oem, they use better material. You don't want to go back and do it again.

use the sealant near front main seal or rear main seal? or both. cause when i did mine before i used all around. and i think my gasket was the cheap paper one

both seals... no dont use all around.. engine oil breaks down silicone. just in the corners of the crank seals and tighten down in cris-cross pattern.. and clean and degrease mating surfaces..
