Default dead battery??

Car suddenly wouldnt start up when I turned off the car to go to the bank. Everything seemed fine with the car. Car clicks but doesnt crank. Had to jump start it to get it running to drive it home. Could it be the starter?? Just need a quick answer

If it needed to be jumped to get started it may not be the starter, how ever try tapping the starter with a hammer and get someone to turn the key, if its starts then, then its the starter. Almost sounds like a alternator problem (stuck regulator), but will that kill a battery that fast? Does your lights look good or are they dim?

Well it could simply be a dead battery. You should try getting it tested at Auto Zone or Advance Auto or something.

All the lights work perfectly and the deck. Headlights are all bright.

it doesnt take as much juice to power the lights as it does to crank it over. do your lights dim when you try to start the car?!
