DD Individual throttle bodies??

Re: DD Individual throttle bodies??
ITB's are so sensitive to air temp that it is not recommended for DD's. If it stays fairly the same temp around your area yearlong, or if you only drive it certain days then it may work. But even a 5 degree air temp difference and youll have to get it retuned. This is what my tuner told me.

Re: DD Individual throttle bodies??
ITB's can be done on a daily driver, but you will most likely lose low-end and mid-range power, especially without an airbox. They look all cool and race-ready, but IMO its not worth the cost to implement.
1: Without an airbox, you end up sucking in hot air from your engine bay.
2: The Intake runners need to be properly sized (in length AND diameter) to maintain proper intake velocity, or your motor falls flat on its face below high rpms.
3: The cost of sourcing multiple throttle butterflies, injectors, custom fuel rail, etc.
4:As mentioned above, tuning becomes a pain, and depending on what ecu software you run, it may not have the resolution to tune for DD (partial throttle points mainly).
