tommrow im planning on puttin my dc short shifter on my 95 eg civic! anybody have any tips for me this is my first time! would you suggest a pro installing it!!

I would consider new shift linkage bushings, hardened ones like (but not only) Password sells make a BIG difference in shifter feel.

Energy suspension makes some good ones too. Short shifter install isnt too hard. If you are unsure, do a search and I am sure you can find some fairly simple how-to's.

you dont need a pro to install it.. have the DIY mentality and just go for it.. its all mechanical so its very easy to figure out just make sure when you take it apart that you remember which way the boot goes and the nut etc.. also before you start I would suggest removing your shift **** or at least loosening it first therefore when you remove the nut from the bottom it will be easy to remove the shift *** when you turn it.

its a cake dude!basically just unbolt the stabilizer bolts get in the car take the boot off and itll just drop right down.get some energy suspension bushing(i have them on mine).

you will have to work around that exhasut, thats going to be the only problem.

and yea, i would suggest to get the energy bushings, while you're at it.
