DC cam gear error (pic)
EDIT- please read the comparo post down below-
So, i called DC (FYI jut got bought by AEM), they were clueless about it, so, for some reason, instead of attempting to resolve it on their end...they transfer me to an AEM tech. I mention the fact it is a DC piece several times throughout the conversation. The tech did not want to absorb this bit of info, he is yelling at me about how "their" gears are correct, and I am wrong. Then, finally, he realized i was talking about a DC gear, and apologized. He said to send a picture in highlighting the error, and he would work something out, i assume with an AEM product since DC does not make cam gears anymore (i wonder why...jeez)

Re: DC cam gear error (builthatch)
Was the camger for a z6 or y8 engine? There is ~5degrees of differnce between those systems.
It might not be wrong at all, just wrong settings for your setup.

Re: DC cam gear error (splitime)
both motors call for 90 degree turn for next cylinder...if you look at the angles on this gear, you have a 100 degree, 80 degree, 100 degree, and 80 degree...
BTW, this is a y8 gear, however, the fact remains that the 12 to 6 axis is perpendicular to the 3 to 9 axis on every gear i have ever seen...except this one

Re: DC cam gear error (builthatch)
Take half the camgear. Advance it 5degrees along the rotation of the curve and you have timing marks that will NOT line up with stock timing marks. Y8 vs Z6 would explain the difference.

stock y8 cam gear vs. DC y8 cam gear...
now..peep the errant DC TDC mark...almost 5 degs advanced from where it should be...and, when on the car, in combo with he forward head slant, they end up @ like 10:30!, but the side marks are equal to the stock y8 piece...they simply mismarked this thing...
