Datum1 Subframe Brace
im always wanting to be a bit different, and the sea of ASR subframe braces out there is deff not where i want to land (but i might)
so im looking for a DATUM1 subframe brace, and i find a bunch on ebay to my surprise. but i notice 2 different styles. one has 2 indentions, either side of the datum1 logo. the others have 3 indentions, the same 2 plus a long one above the datum1 logo.
anybody know where i can get some definitive information about what a genuine Datum1 bar looks like?
and is the Datum1 bar an inferior replica of the ASR like i keep hearing? I thought Datum1 was around long before ASR.

Re: Datum1 Subframe Brace
I edited the title for you this time, please make your titles more descript so passersby have a clue as to what you're talking about.
I have not seen a datum bar in person, but I suppose it's worth a shot. As far as I know the ASR bar was the first subframe of it's type. I'm not sure I'd be willing to risk $40 and have the Datum1 brace not fit. A lot of people have had issues with "other" braces not fitting, Blackworks as a prime example.
ASR has its reputation for a reason. I personally run the Function7 bar because I too wanted to be "different" but it also offers integral sway bar mounting points, is lighter than the ASR, looks very unique, and has better mounting hardware.
But it's $60 more expensive, not $40 cheaper like the Datum1

Re: Datum1 Subframe Brace
I noticed that, i was JUST trying to fix that... thats what i get for sneaking HT while on the clock. thank ya sir.
you have very good points sir. i may just be having iPhone syndrome here-- avoided it because it was so popular (and douchy) but once i finally got one i can see why they are so popular.
Anybody with Datum1 SFB experience?

Then WHAT does that tell you? Not many people have bought and/or installed them. And BTW, kinda hard to know what you personally have looked and seen on the internet.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Question still stands (and /or continues to get buried under new, dumber questions)
Anyone with experience with the Datum1 SFB, or information that could keep me from buying a knock-off would be amazing.
