What mods can be done to the factory dashboard? Im a light grey color, but I really would love to get a black theme going in the future? Do they sell a black dashboard for a 2000 civic coupe? Would it be cheaper taking it off and painting it? Id love to see some pics, if anyone would love to share their ideas.

Only options you have are to remove it and paint with a high quality Vinyl paint (lots of work and pretty expensive)

I'm not sure if Black was an option for the 2000my civic but a quick search on here would tell ya.

the best, most professional looking way to do it is to pull the dash out and "reupholster" it in black vinyl.

came across a thread where the guy recovered his dash (to go from tan to black) and used synthetic suede like you would see on a nice aftermarket steering wheel. when he was done it looked like it came that way from the factory!

Nice link. That was a very good example of what I would love to do. Hopefully soon. Its not that bad to take all of those parts off. Its just a matter of how long will it take b/c it is my daily. I assume, to do it right (also taking the carpet off, and repainting it black as well) would be about a weeks worth. I need to post some pics up. Its still a little beat up, but hopefully by my b-day (4/21) I can have a nice list of goodies done!
