Dash Lights
I have a 2000 Honda Civic lx and my Dash lights and the lights that light up my center console dont come on when i turn on my lights. However sometimes they do. The fuse is not blown and the dimmer switch is okay. I was reading somewhere that if you get a new radio it could make this happen. Anyone have any ideas? thanks!

Re: Dash Lights
If you installed an aftermarket radio and hooked up the car's small light illumination Red/Blk wire (+) and Red wire (-) to the radio; then disconnect them, as that may be causing your issue.
- Red/Blk is a red colored wire with a black stripe running through it, that is the small lights power (+) wire and only should have power when the headlight switch is turned to Park or Headlight.
- Red wire is ground (-) which the dimmer switch controls by varying the resistance when you turn the ****. The higher the resistance, less ground (-) current goes through and the lights are dimmed. The lower the resistance, more ground (-) current goes through and the lights are brighter.
