Dancing Tachometer... HELP

Default Dancing Tachometer... HELP

I noticed my tacho needle jumping to and fro when having reached 6,000 revs Up to 8,000, 9,000, back again to 6,000 and so on.
Can somebody help me???

Bad ground?? Bad coil?? Just speculating.

Engine works fine... good idle and acceleration

Check your wires,they might be loose or maybe you didnt ground the tach well enough.

Check the connections on your Ignitor in the Distributor. I had a similar problem with some other symptoms also, one of the four plugs on the ignitor was loose.

crazy slipping clutch?

i'd laugh with you at such a crazy suggestion, but it happened to by brother. i doubt this is your problem though.

I had a loose ground wire when this happened to me. It was only at 1-3K RPM tho.
My ground wire in question was by the distributor. Let us know!

that my brother is a bad coil! i exactly got the same problem and i just replaced mine with the whole nine (MSD set-up).
