Damn thieves!!!
I went out to my car when I was leaving my friend's appartment tonight and right as I walked up to my car a Mazda Prtotege 5 wagon drove off really fast from a parking space right behind my car. I didn't think anything of it except when I got in my car I noticed the passenger window was down and my face plate, radar detector, and CD case were gone. I thought about it for a second and realized that the car that drove off was the the thievs! I called to cops and told them and an officer arrived shortly after to take a statement from me. The other cops in the area were looking for the car when out of nowhere the dumbass drives by on the road right in fron of us. I was like, "Holy ****, that's the car right there!" They caught them but not before they threw my Passport 8500, face plate, and CDs out the window. When the police went to recover my stuff people had run over it multiple times and everything was trashed. At least they caught those ************* though. This is the 3rd time my car has been broken into. **** THIEVES!!!

that sucks good luck with what happens to them, it sucks when your stuff gets stolen though especially cds because its going to take a long time to replace all those if you had alot.

I only had about 12 or so. That's becasue about a year ago my book with about 300 CDs got stolen from my car. I was wondering what would have happened if I had walked up 5 minutes earlier when they were in my car. Let's say I live in a state where I can get a conceled hand gun permit. I think I'm going to do that soon. So next time if I walk up on someone I can get my stuff back.

Check your insurance policy, it may include a maximum allowance of coverage for "personal items" in the car if you have comprehensive coverage. If not then the judge MAY order the perps to pay reparations to the victim(you). That will involve you meeting with the prosecutor with all of your broken **** and reciepts or some other documents that can give an exact $$ value to your items.
If that doesn't work you can take them to civil court, but that means you have to hire a lawyer and all which probably won't be worth it. Stay on the prosecutors *** if your insurance doesn't cover it.
edit: oh yeah...I see a lot of crash and theft threads here...dammit everyone needs to read their insurance policy, have any of you actually read through the whole thing?

Exactly, find out who they are, get the police report and then sue them in small claims court. Don't let them just get by with a slap on the wrist from the fuzz. If you really want to punish them then hit them where it hurts....in the wallet

No. Yeah I know, that's probably the first thing I should have bought driving a Civic with huge intercooler in the front.
