What I did was take about a foot of rubber hose (black) either 1/2" or 5/8" and cut it down the center of the hose on the outside of the coil. Then you press it in very similar to the window seal around the edge of the hole. It will keep it from hitting the metal.

I noticed it rattling when I first put it in, so I put the hose in there later that week. It has been in for two years and there is only a dull spot in the paint on the CAI.

Re: (hondasport2000)
Not to jack the thread...I had a similar problem. The edge of the air filter was rubbing on a hardline for the clutch and had worn a hole in it. (Found out after the fact). I was coming off my exit and my clutch pedal stayed depressed. Luckily I was able to coast down the hill to my garage. Tried to JB weld it but ended up replacing the hard line.
