daily driver...
ok i have a 95 del sol that im ready to put a swap in. and yes i have read and searched about the motors that i want to swap in. and right now im torn between a h22, h2b, and a GSR. the motor is my daily driver so reliability is a big concern (about 60 miles a day). i just wanna know peoples takes on the reliability of each setup. thanks in advance

It's all Honda, so ultimately, you'll have reliability with any of those engines, provided you don't pound the **** out of it. And prepare for lots of oil changes. I used to have a 120 mile a day drive and i was doing them about once a month. I'd go with the H22, just for the "surprise the **** out of the V8 mustang/camaro driver" feeling.

A GSR swap would be relatively "easier" and is a great motor all around. Also, if you are looking to boost in the future, a GSR handles boost VERY well. Not to say the h22 dosent, but its used more for all motor setups. Looks around on the swaps and see which one looks easier and fits your budget best, because all are great choices. Just my $.02

And they aren't such a shoehorn fit and you won't have to butcher the harness to get everything to work right.

well the only thing that is keeping me from jumping right into either of the h swaps is ground clearance (my exhaust now is about and inch from the ground) and the trans. but with the h2b worried about gas mileage with my commute but the power is phenominal

Whatever you do go JDM. I had the Si-Vtec B18C engine in my CRX. With the YSK short gear ratio tranny.(cable) Was very fast, but very reliable.

If a lot of the miles you will be putting on your car are highway miles, i'd steer clear of the b16 tranny. Great for the 1/4 mile, but not great in high rpms while cruising at 65 and beyond on the highway.
I've heard a lot of great things about the H series, i just don't know a lot about them.
