Default Daily 300whp on a d16z6

So I have so far:
-adjustable fuel pressure regulator
-450cc injectors
-aem 320 fuel pump
-y7 intake manifold
-62mm throttle
-42/48 turbine
I know I need better connecting rods and piston but my confussion is that some pleople say that I can run it without touching the block but do I need at least a blockguard?

Y7 intake manifold? You probably want at least a y8 intake manifold. Yes upgrade the pistons and rods, but no need to sleeve at this level.
Stay away from block guards, they are trash, do it the right way and go CSS. Cylinder support system is rated/warrantied to 500whp....
