Default D2 / Skunk2 Springs and Camber Kits

Car: '97 Civic EX Coupe
Looking at moderate suspension for street, no track, with some aggressive driving every now and again. I just want the tires to be at the lip of the wheel well or slightly more. I had Ground Controls on my last 2 cars and they were more bouncy than anything else.

I've been looking at D2 or Skunk2 lowering springs with the Buddy Club Camber kits for front and rear.

Has anyone had any experience with D2? Quality? I haven't found much feedback.

I hear a lot about Skunk2 Coil Overs but not their lowering springs. What is the linear spring rate. I know they're progressive springs, but I still want a suitable ride. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

i am guessing you are wanting something that is very suitable for street driving. i have never been too satisfied with Skunk2 products in general but i have never heard anything about their springs or coilovers so i can't really say no to them.

I have a set of D2 coilovers on my CRX you don't want them on your street car. thier springs i don't know about?

i would honestly check out a set of tein springs or eibach springs and koni or belstein shocks. my .02

I am looking for suspension for my DD with adequate modifications. I've read about a lot travel issues with the Tein Springs. I'll be running the KYB AGX struts as I've always had really good luck with them. All of the full Coil Over kits I've been reading about have really high spring rates, so I've been staying away from them unless they offer a progressive spring (then I'm in the $1k + range).

Thanks for the info. I think due to the lack of information about the D2 springs, I will go ahead and be the test dumbie on this one. I'll do a little write up review once I have them installed. Ordering today, should be here by next Friday!

i have a skunk2 coilover slip ons on mine and i wish the spring rates where a bit lower for a dd, its stiff but only tends to bounch on bad roads, stock shocks blown to **** all the way down in front with 1 adjuster.

buddy had d2 springs, but only had them for about a month before the car was totaled, he said they were ok.
btw you dont need a camber kit, just get the car alinged and youll be fine, unless you want no camber.

The springs finally came in... Didn't have time to do it this last Saturday... I'll be HOPEFULLY putting them on this Saturday along with a list:
Timing Belt
Oil Pan Gasket
Valve Cover Gasket
Tranny Swap
Clutch/Flywheel
Wheel Bearings

Yeah, should be a fun Saturday!

Ran out of time on Saturday when I was installing all the crap into my car... Ran into problems with the new tranny and clutch, but keeping my fingers crossed so I can get them put on this weekend with the alignment job! Sorry for the delay guys.
