Default D16z7 in 92 question

My friend is giving me the engine trans everything thats why I'm putting it in. I know I need the obdII to obdI harness who has the best one. What else will I need to wire.. knock sensor anything else. I don't think I need a engine mount kit do I. Anything else I need to know. I have been searching but theres not alot for this setup. Thanks

if you do the OBD2 to 1 conversion, you'll be running an OBD1 ecu which doesn't look for a knock sensor. you'll be using a p28, a ecu out of a 93-95 EX for example.

No such thing as a Z7
If that is what motor is in a 00 ex thats it. I must of read it wrong somewhere. Thanks

I don't know 6th gens too well, but I believe the Ex is the D16Y8, and the Dx is D16Y7

d16y8 in ex, all others except hx have d16y7, the hx has d16y5 w/ vtec-e.

So I just need the obd2 to obd1 conversion harness and a p28. Thats it just plug in and it will work.
