Default d16z6: what gear to dyno pull at? 3rd or 4th?

exactly as the title states. on a d16z6 what gear do you dyno pull at? 3rd gear or 4th gear? which one is closest to 1:1?

Closest to a 1:1 ratio so you don't have to do math to determine proper power output. If you do it in a 2:1 gear or a 4:1 gear (just random numbers), the result will be off by 1/2 or 1/4 depending.

You can always Google the gear ratios and do it yourself. It would take less time than posting on Honda-Tech.

and it would of took less time for you to just say 3rd or 4th..

1st-----3.250
2nd-----1.900
3rd-----1.250
4th-----0.909
5th-----0.750 for Si HB and Del sol Si
or------0.702 for 2 dr or 4 dr sedan
Final Drive---4.250

btw, i wanted to know what other people have used when they went to the dyno, actual experiences, not some google search.

if you go to the right place and the tech knows what hes doing he'll do it in 3rd and take it up the power band nice and easy.

you mean slowly give it gas in 3rd until its all the way floored?

They should. There going to tell you 3rd as well. If you dont want to believe people here then just do it whatever gear you want.
