Ok so i have a 97 hx and i put a D16Z6 head, block and tranny in. I used a dizzy jumper from rywire.comi got a ecu jumper just if i was to use the Z6 intake..since i used the stock hx intake i use the hx ecu.it runs but not like a Z6 should because of the hx **** on it will this hurt it?can anyone tell mehow to get all the plugs for Z6 intake out of my harness i have 3 maybe 4 out of the 5 i need for the Z6 intake??the car is a 97 HX and the D16Z6 engine is out of a 92-95 del sol si.

the temp sensor is totally different and u need to use the one that fits ur harness. you should be using a jumper harness and running a p28 not the hx ecu... the head design and ignition timing is totally different. the y8 i know for a fact runs 12*btdc at idle and the z6 runs 16* Btdc. your running the wrong ecu....

When i swap ecu to p28 it spits and spudders until 2500 rpm then she open up and goes.can i make the temp sensior work? Where does the sensior that plugs into the stock hx intake tube go on the Z6 intake manifold?

the intake temperature sensor is different, on the z6 it is plugged in to the manifold, not the intake tube, sorry to say but i think i'd run a y8 manifold at least, gotta be 96-98, because the 99-00 have cold start holes and its gonna cause problems (from what i've heard but i just used some small sheet metal screws to plug them and it worked fine) just to get it to run better than it is now. maybe just run a whole obd1 engine harness with the z6 manifold? lol like the other guy said timing is totally different, so check your timing, make sure all the timing marks on the cam gears, and the crank pulley are on spot, then play with your ignition timing (the distributor) WITH A P28 ecu..... but why all the trouble when you can just slap in a d16y8 with a p2p ecu an call it a day?

Using the Z6 head, if it "spits and sputters" until a certain RPM range and the CEL isn't on, that generally means the timing is off.

yea im gona try the z6 intake and hope i can get the plugs for the harness to match up and i still got the problem whit the z6 injectors can i just splice the injector into my wires?whats a CEL?

just saw ROYBOYS post and i already have a z6 intake and P28 ecu jumper.will it matter where the temp sensor is on the tube or back of the inatke?whats the black thing above the z6 temp sensor on back the intake thats the onley thing i dont have a pulg for.i tryed to see what code the car was giving out and 956374 is what i got when i counted the check engine light and i deas what it means and this is with all the hx stuff on the z6.
