Default D16Z6 Tranny Rebuild ....

I cannot for the life of me get the c-clip off the back so the main shaft and countershaft will drop ....

Help

Help </TD></TR></TABLE>...what are you using to remove the c-clip? are you adding pressure to the case? i use a special c-clip opening tool ($10)

that sucks.....
-take out the tranny fill plug
-put a 10mm socket in there.
-start screwing the plug back in.

that will put a little bit of lifting force against the clip, then spread the C-clip.

You have to get the right amount of pressure. Good luck

Well, I went out and picked up a c-clip separator, and I had my girlfriend pry the case with a crowbar, and POP.

Thanks for the help .... now the fun part ..... cleaning this bitch up and replacing the ISB.

92-95 trannys have pry points, a 17mm and 19mm open end wrench fors perfect.......

My ISB is stuck ..... the plastic casing inside that holds the ***** was completely shredded, so the ***** and inner ring just fell out. I can't get the outer ring to come loose .... someone help?

put the ***** back in and space the out so the puller can work.........

if not your gonna have to cut it out with a dremel......
