D16z6 timing question ---video
I got a d16z6 that snapped the timing belt last week . I replaced it and car started but now makes weird noise when starting. Is timing off?
Only does it when starting but always starts and runs good

driving while a timing belt snaps may cause chip or bent valves but looks like timing is a little of too see how it takes a while for it to start

Why is your idle so high?
oO
I mean, I know these things idle high when cold, but not 2k rpms...
Maybe your timing is hella advanced and it's causing the starting noises and issues?

This thing has a much bigger issue then the idle.
Do a compression test. Come back with the numbers.
