Like I said on the other thread, SEARCH. You are new here, SEARCH is your new best friend.
The 1992 Civic is already pre-wired for VTEC. So, all you'll need is the P28 ECU, motor, transmission, and axles. Everything else, is up to you.
BTW, good luck getting the D16Z6 into the 11s without a SERIOUS *** all-motor buildup.

Re: (Dimi)
All 92 civics are prewired...all you have to do is get the vtec engine wiring harness and everything should plug up no problem. 11s or 12s...thats pretty hard. lol

u wont get 11' w/ a supercharged SOHC, superchargers can only do so much, and turbo is way better. to the guy who said u needed a tranny, no u dont, just the long-block,(w/ vtec solenoid, dizzy, wiring harness, ECU) that should be enough, TURBO IS THE WAY TO GO MAN

Re: D16Z6 swap in my 92 cx hatch (de twa)
to get the z6 into the 11's for NA - plan on spending 1000's of dollars.... - like 5,000 - could put two turbo kits on for that price and it would be more reliable....
Pick two: Cheap, Fast, Reliable.....

Re: D16Z6 swap in my 92 cx hatch (93CivicSI)
You can use your axles, transmission, distributor, and wire harness although you will need to add 2 wires to it. I would highly recommend getting the ex/si transmission though, it will help acceleration a lot. Good luck..
btw go turbo

here in vancouver at local stips, People are breaking low 12's with no-forced induction, SOHC NON-VTEC engines, so anything is possible.

Ok there buddy. I would LOVE to see you spend a few hundred bucks on a D16Z6 and ECU and tell me it's fun to drive with the longest ******* transmission the 1992-1995 Honda Civic years has to offer. There is NO POINT on getting a D16Z6 if you are going to use the same transmission, you will hardly feel a difference and still be shifting at very high speeds.
We all don't ghetto-rig ****, do it the right way, the 1st time.

ok, i said u don't HAVE to, it is recomended but they are interchangelable jackass, and u can't use a b7 distributor on a z6 engine, and i would like to know what kind of cash these gus in vancouver are spending on a n/a SOHC non-Vtec....and to the guy said I don't know what the **** I am talking about, a turbocahrged engine is better than a supercharged engine, IMHO, and hey, at least I speak the truth about my car, it is a slow bitch

Re: (egcoupe94)
Supercharge is not < turbo.
Show me you can't use a d15b7 dizzy on a z6 head.
Because I can show you I CAN MAKE IT FIT.

You don't have to tell use they are interchangeable, most of us on Honda-Tech already know this.
What are you basing your opinion on the turbo > supercharger statement anyway?

the guy asked what will he need inorder to do it, so I answered, and how can u use a b7 dizzy on a z6? the cam shafts are different in the b7 and z6. I just don't like superchargers, u can get more out of a turbo and spend less, if you wanna spend 4 grand on a supercharger when u can get more power out of a turbo for about 1500 less that that, then so be it.

Re: (egcoupe94)
supercharged engines aren't that great because they put so much strain on the engine, it would be like running the ac. Plus you can only spin it as much as your engine will allow. With a turbo you just have exhuast lag and if you do it right you have no lag, but you will never get you SOHC into the 11s without some serious fabrication.

Oh God. You start the pissing contest and have to finish it huh? I thought you would be more mature for a 20 year old. I was working under a car while you were still stroking it to the underwear section of the Sears catalog. STFU and I hope you get PDTS. People these days.

I used my d15b8 axles and distributor with my d15b vtec swap, with a d16z6 transmission, and I mentioned this ^----way up there, but it seems like all some of you guys wanna do is argue and prove each other wrong..

Are you stupid sir?
A supercharge spin as much as your engine allows? Your are you saying you can blow infinity exhaust gas with your car? even if you can is it pracitcal?
If you do WHAT right, you will have no lag? If you use a big turbo, your going to have turbo lag, show me how to have no turbo lag on a turbo car by doing it right.
Funny cars have like 5 sec ET times with a supercharged motor blowing more then you can imagine. So.... your wrong.
As for 11 sohc... how do you explain 11.2@125.70mhp in a stock sleeve sohc in a street car? You are wrong again.

Re: (Br1anPham)
if i remember right (correct me if i'm wrong) but didn't the original poster say he/she WITHOUT boosting the car, which is what most of you are arguing about, he/she said with supercharging and/or spray, that they were open to that option, give the man ******* answer instead of being stuck in your righteous mandates.
bro if u have the money u can do it, just look up lots of info and get something in mind that you want.

Re: D16Z6 swap in my 92 cx hatch (de twa)
hey dude i have the same car as u and i have a d16z6 but it came off from a del sol which is pretty much stronger than the 92-95 civic si. well it is really easy of course i started out with no experience and work my way through it...all u need is axle, ecu, mounts, and u need to add another wire to connect ur v-tech selnoid and to ur v-tech fuel...recommended that u change ur water pump, clutch and timimg belt and oh yeah make sure u add in two to three bottle of transmission fluid...i forgot that and i blew my tranny...
