Ok im gonna be buying a 1995 D16Z6 swap from a del sol si.. I have a 92 CX with the stock 70 hp monster in it now. The d16z6 swap is just Engine and Trans. No wiring harness or ECU. I can find a P28 ECU here locally but the wiring harness is another story. I really dont want to have to pay 100-150 for a harness. So if I reuse my CX Harness Exactly what wires will I have to add to make it work?? Also what sensors does the D16 have that the CX doesnt??I know the O2 sensor on the D16 is 4 Wire compared to my 1 Wire so what do I do there?? And will all of my radiator/heater hoses ETC. work.. Im just trying to figure out if there will be any hidden costs in doing this swap. I know someone has to be able to answer a few of these questions for me.... THANKS

I WONT have the D16z6 harness. So im trying to see how to use my CX harness on the D16Z6.. Its a 92 so it is wired for vtec from the ECU to the shock towers.. I just need info on how to hook up the VTEC and what to do about the 4 wire O2 sensor since mine is 1 Wire...And if the d16z6 has any other sensors that my CX doesnat have?? I have searched and searched and i didnt find the info I need so that is why I Posted this.....

If you use the P28 and the exhaust manifold and O2 sensor from a Z6 you should be set...

just dig for the money and do a good search to find a harness.....i got mine for $50
setup and timeslip(stock w/dead clutch n bald 14's) are in sig.
never had 1 problem since install (knock on wood )

Your CX harness might work just fine, cause 92 Civics are wired to VTEC. The O2 wire is the only thing to get out of the way as far as I know.

I dropped a 92 SI in my old 93 CX.....went straight in, just had to wire VTEC.

BTW, with your 1.5 tranny you're gonna have some loooooong gears! 65/70mph in 1st if ya wanna try. You won't even need 5th until 65/70mph when on the freeway.

you wont need 4th gear either...cruise in third.......Your chassis is wired for vtec (its a 92 thing) So just get a ex/si harness it'll be easier and look cleaner. Plug and play
